Buttermilk Pie

This is my favorite buttermilk pie recipe. Serve warm, fresh from the oven, or try it cold with your choice of toppings – cherries, blueberries, etc.

3/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tablespoons melted butter
2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 unbaked 9″ pie shell

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine sugar, flour, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in eggs, melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into pie shell.
Bake for 55 minutes, or until the center of the pie seems set. Cool a bit before serving.
